About the role

Responsible for ensuring that counts on all outgoing products for delivery to sales centers and customers are accurate and match corresponding paperwork. This role also involves scanning product barcodes to pallets, maintaining accurate shipment records, and compiling data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The successful candidate will be a reliable, self-motivated, results-oriented individual who demonstrates strong organizational, technical, and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare shipping audit documentation and barcode scanning reports for all outbound shipments.
  • Ensure that the correct products are loaded onto the appropriate trailers according to the daily shipping schedule.
  • Communicate and work collaboratively with warehouse personnel, load leads, supervisors, and management.
  • Learn and utilize ERP and WMS systems (such as SAP and LFS), which are essential to daily operations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation throughout the process using the information systems mentioned above.
  • Promote a safe work environment.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient loading dock and staging area.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent with at least two years of progressive experience in shipping and logistics.
  • Flexibility to work on different shifts, as required, to meet shipping goals.
  • Experience with ERP systems, WMS, and Microsoft Office preferred.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while adapting to changing situations.
  • Ability to read load sheets and count accurately.
  • Basic computer skills or ability to learn and utilize.

Essential Physical Functions

  • Ability to safely lift or move at least 50lbs.
  • Ability to safely climb stairs or a ladder.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
