About the Role
Silvus is seeking a Shipping Associate to manage outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and paperwork. This role also involves handling inventory, coordinating transportation, and ensuring timely deliveries. The position reports into Supply Chain Leadership and is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, at our Salt Lake City facility.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and accurate preparation of shipping documentation for both domestic and international orders.
- Manage packaging material inventories, ensuring adequate supply for shipping needs.
- Manage the packaging and shipping process of customer orders, as well as the handling of logistics for trade shows.
- Coordinate transportation and carrier services to ensure timely delivery schedules.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience using systems and software like FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
- Experience with shipping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience shipping commercial goods to international destinations.
- Highly proficient in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment, meeting multiple deadlines.
- Must have a current, valid driver’s license and no traffic violations.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
- Kneel or squat to access lower shelves.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
Pay
$21 - $23 per hour. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
