About the role

As our Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, you will oversee all inbound and outbound warehouse operations to ensure the efficient, accurate, and safe movement of products in a cold storage environment. You’ll lead a team responsible for receiving, inspecting, shipping, and maintaining inventory accuracy while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Daily Operations: Supervise both shipping and receiving teams, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Oversee Inbound and Outbound Activities: Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately, inspected for quality and quantity, and documented properly in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Maintain Inventory Accuracy: Collaborate with inventory control to reconcile stock levels, resolve discrepancies, and support regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Enforce OSHA, HACCP, and company safety standards through training, inspections, and continuous improvement of operational practices.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline shipping and receiving operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Manage Equipment and Documentation: Oversee the proper use and maintenance of forklifts and other equipment; maintain accurate operational reports and shipment documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years in warehouse operations with a focus on both shipping and receiving, including 1–2 years of supervisory experience. Experience in cold storage or food logistics preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification preferred; OSHA or HACCP certification a plus.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities;

  • Proficiency with WMS and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Effective communicator;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in cold storage environments with temperatures as low as -20°F.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Pay

The range listed is the Company's good-faith estimate of the annual base salary for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, location, internal equity, and market factors, consistent with applicable pay transparency laws.

Schedule

Full Time FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 2pm-10:30pm
