Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain department 5S and Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Create delivery notes for shipments to customers from closed out manufacturing orders.
• Find product and provide production personnel with appropriate documents to package material.
• Collate documents to pull product from stock to be packed for shipment to customers.
• Process documents for shipping/invoicing/producing a bill of lading. In contact with carriers to schedule pick-ups.
• Unload trucks delivering materials safely and efficiently.
• Record all receipts daily into SAP.
• Get rate quotes and proof of deliveries for shipments.
• Process UPS and FedEx parcel shipments—unload boxes off line to a pallet for parcel service to pick up.
• File bill of ladings and Radiac’s copies of packing list (green sheet).
• Manage the warehouse and shipping lines to efficiently get product shipped.
• Pack product according to work instructions.
• Ship the most cost effectively and obtain POD and tracking information for shipments.
• Order trucks to schedule pick-ups.
• Meet shipping requirements daily per established standards.
• Communicate with Customer Service to ship product correctly to the customer.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate read and write in English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to use a computer.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
• Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently.
• Physical ability to do repetitive work.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.
