Responsibilities
- Maintain department 5S and Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Create delivery notes for shipments to customers from closed out manufacturing orders.
- Find product and provide production personnel with appropriate documents to package material.
- Collate documents to pull product from stock to be packed for shipment to customers.
- Process documents for shipping/invoicing/producing a bill of lading. In contact with carriers to schedule pick-ups.
- Unload trucks delivering materials safely and efficiently.
- Record all receipts daily into SAP.
- Get rate quotes and proof of deliveries for shipments.
- Process UPS and FedEx parcel shipments—unload boxes off line to a pallet for parcel service to pick up.
- File bill of ladings and Radiac’s copies of packing list (green sheet).
- Manage the warehouse and shipping lines to efficiently get product shipped.
- Pack product according to work instructions.
- Ship the most cost effectively and obtain POD and tracking information for shipments.
- Order trucks to schedule pick-ups.
- Meet shipping requirements daily per established standards.
- Communicate with Customer Service to ship product correctly to the customer.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate read and write in English.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to use a computer.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
- Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently.
- Physical ability to do repetitive work.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
