Shipping and Receiving team members are responsible for loading and unloading materials and process shipments for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all incoming freight, receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip to purchase order to verify the accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
- Inspect all incoming RMA (return to manufacturer) cylinders and complete the inspection sheet.
- Prepare all cylinders for outgoing shipment and interpret the BOL that was created (bill of lading).
- Safely operate forklift or other machinery to load, unload, sort, stage, and transport product.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or working with LTL carriers preferred.
- Must be able to obtain Hazmat Certification and EPA 608 Certification within 6 months of being hired.
- Fork Lift Certification License.
- Material handling equipment familiarity.
- Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel or equivalent.
- Familiar with the UPS/FedEx shipping portal.
- Valid Class A driver's license preferred.
- Must be able to drive a forklift safely.
- Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
