RTC Shipping and Receiving - Rhome

About the Role

A-Gas, a global leader in the responsible lifecycle management of specialty chemicals and gases, is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Operator to join our team. This role operates Monday-Friday, 1st Shift from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with a temporary 5:00 AM start during the summer season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all cylinders for outgoing shipment and generate the bill of lading (BOL)
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials by tracking inventory and communicating with leads/supervisors to replenish depleted items
• Collaborate with logistics, customer service, third-party carriers, and others involved in the shipment of products
• Use internal software (Cyltrak) to identify outgoing shipments, verify shipment information, and update shipment status
• Work in accordance with all company policies relating to health and safety

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Physically capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in shipping/receiving or working with LTL carriers strongly preferred
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
• Basic computer skills in programs such as MS Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to closely follow written instructions
• Must pass 608 Universal Certification within 90 days of hire

Pay

Starting pay at $20 an hour and up based on experience.

Monday-Friday, 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (5:00 AM start during summer season)
