Shipping and Receiving Material Handler

About the Role

The Shipping & Receiving Material Handler assists with shipping and receiving raw materials used in production. This position involves loading, unloading, and stacking materials in designated locations within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials and/or finished goods from trucks and freight vehicles.
• Safely move and stack materials between designated locations within the facility.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, tilters, band crimps, and other tools and equipment.
• Collect and act upon shipping releases as directed by the Shipping Lead or Supervisor.
• Comply with the Quality and Environmental Management System principles at BlueScope Coated Products.
• Communicate daily with internal teams (Sales, Maintenance, Operations, Quality Control) to resolve problems and achieve company goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Work Environment

The role involves occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Pay

$24.00/hr - $25.50/hr
