Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Duties/Responsibilities

• Identifies, controls, separates, and maintains all incoming parts under FAA receiving and shipping regulations.
• Supports reclamations by ensuring all parts are properly cleaned, tagged, and documented accurately.
• Performs accurate data entry for all parts based on process tags.
• Verifies materials against invoices or packing slips to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains shelf life of materials and ensures tooling meets load test and calibration requirements.
• Upholds company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Adheres to all safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Safely handles hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and best practices.
• Prepares and reviews shipments for outside sales customers.
• Ensures all packages are properly labeled according to carrier requirements.
• Maintain familiarity with the Ascent Aviation Services Inspection Procedures Manual and Shipping & Receiving SOPs.
• Communicates effectively with your area of responsibility, keeping team members informed of daily operations, performance indicators, and upcoming plans.
• Conducts safety checks and maintains compliance within the stores area.
• Maintains and issues first aid supplies as needed.
• Documents all training received and ensures sign-off by Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
• Takes appropriate action to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Forklift experience and the ability to become company certified.
• Previous Shipping & Receiving experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
• Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
