About the role
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our growing team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Unload, identify, sort, and store wire and cable inventory, including coils and reels.
- Pick, pack, palletize, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Stage shipments for LTL, flatbed, and truckload carriers.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory movements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Rotate inventory and consolidate stock to maximize warehouse efficiency.
- Ensure shipments meet customer specifications and carrier requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, attendance standards, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily performance goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, shipping and receiving, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification if required.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
