Shipping & Receiving Clerk
About the role
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk position at the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL is responsible for accurately completing shipping and receiving tasks such as packaging, cleaning, and sorting parts and inventory, and material handling.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning of parts, hand sorting of parts, and packing of parts prior to shipment.
- Completion of all required quality inspection records.
- Material handling of parts and containers including loading and unloading of trucks.
- Completion of all required production reporting.
- Cohoperation and collaboration with supporting departments.
- Must complete all required safety and hazardous waste training as well as comply with all Dalmar Hotel safety and hazardous waste handling procedures.
- Attend all Management meetings and training sessions, safety committee meetings, and all employee meetings as required by upper management.
- Create and maintain IATF documents as per IATF requirements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good attendance and performance work history.
- Motivated self-starter that can productively work alone and in teams/groups to solve problems and get work done.
- Proven leadership skills and an ability to work independently.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and verbal skills).
- Able to work overtime on an as needed/required basis in order to complete work in process and communicate with other shifts.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Effort
- Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds without assistance; push/pull cart and other equipment up to 250 pounds.
- Endure various physical movements throughout crowded work and event areas.
- Constantly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise move objects.
- Extended periods of standing, reaching above head to move items, walking, stooping, and lifting.
