SUMMARY

Identify, safely handle, and accurately store product following inspection. Coordinate with Quality Assurance technicians for timely movement of production into inventory. Maintain inventory organization and packaging integrity. Assist with load preparation, inventory counts, and other duties.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, and SKILLS

- Perform tasks as outlined in job description. - Comply with all Company policies and procedures. - Follow safety rules, including those for truck drivers and forklift operation. - Inspect and transport production to appropriate storage locations. - Ensure shipments contain no damaged or sub-standard product. - Repair broken or incomplete units. - Safely operate forklift and prevent damage to product and assets. - Develop skills in loading product onto transport vehicles. - Use handheld computers and follow established procedures for inventory, loading, and scrapping. - Communicate with Supervisor and Shipping team regarding shipping priorities and progress. - Keep yard clear of debris. - Assist other shipping and plant personnel as needed. - Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on equipment. - Exhibit positive attitude and focus on company goals. - Provide input at shift meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficiency in all aspects of the job. - Safe work record and adherence to safety procedures. - Attendance meets company requirements. - Previous forklift experience preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- Previous forklift experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Regularly sit, use hands, climb, balance, talk, and hear. - Frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. - Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. - Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. - Regular exposure to moving vehicles, both forklifts and tractor-trailers, in the yard. - Exposure to all weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
