Shipping Clerk - $1,500 Sign-On Bonus

About the role

The Shipping Clerk assists with incoming and outgoing shipments, ensures orders are filled correctly, maintains inventory records, assists with daily stocking levels, and tracks delivery dates and related shipment details.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare items for shipment.
  • Check and compare item details (counts, weights, measurements) for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Verify shipment information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Track delivery dates and related shipment details.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Clean and valid driver’s license preferred with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Shipping experience with UPS Worldship and/or FedEx Manager preferred.
  • Preferred experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or willingness to learn.
  • Organized self-starter with ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow product handling procedures while complying with safety and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) guidelines.
  • Able to coordinate with the Sales team to maintain on-schedule daily shipments.
  • Professional communication skills for phone and email interactions.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, hear, talk, use hands to handle objects/tools, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Requires close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to stand in one area for long periods with minimal breaks.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and carry heavy objects.

The work environment is usually moderate in noise level and involves minimal exposure to physical risk, such as operating equipment or working with chemicals. The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
