Shipping 1st & 3rd Shifts - Temperance

About the role

Great Opportunity in Shipping Department at the Temperance Plant. Full-time positions available for Shipping - 1st & 3rd Shift, no forklift usage. Starting rate is $19.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand orders.
• Understand the scanning system for loading trucks.
• Effectively communicate and actively participate within a goal-orientated team environment.
• Obey all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
• Inspect work-in-process and finished units to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Provide or actively participate in continued process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Overtime required as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend basic work instructions, standard procedures, and production orders.
• Basic math skills: ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic reading and understanding of a basic tape measure to an increment of 1/16 inch.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent and sustained basis.
• Standing and moving frequently while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
• Collaborative, team-driven attitude.
• Quality and precision-driven, following all quality and safety requirements.
• Customer service mentality, meeting daily production goals.
• Strong reasoning and creative problem-solving skills to overcome production challenges.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic work instructions, standard procedures, and production orders.
