Shipping 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities for manufactured products.
• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and export paperwork as required.
• Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries with transportation providers.
• Verify product quantities, packaging, and shipment accuracy before dispatch.
• Maintain inventory and shipping records within ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Communicate shipment status and resolve transportation-related issues.
• Support production schedules by ensuring timely movement of materials and finished goods.
• Monitor shipping costs and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and customer claims.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to optimize storage and shipping workflows.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations are required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures is required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is necessary.
• Forklift certification is preferred (if applicable).
• The ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods is required.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.
• The ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment is required.
