Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities for manufactured products.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and export paperwork as required.
- Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries with transportation providers.
- Verify product quantities, packaging, and shipment accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain inventory and shipping records within ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Communicate shipment status and resolve transportation-related issues.
- Support production schedules by ensuring timely movement of materials and finished goods.
- Monitor shipping costs and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and customer claims.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to optimize storage and shipping workflows.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in manufacturing, shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations are required.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures is required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is necessary.
- Forklift certification is preferred (if applicable).
- The ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods is required.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.
- The ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment is required.
