About the Role

As a Shipping Clerk, you will inspect, prepare, and pack customers' orders, ensuring a final quality check, correct amounts, and adherence to specific shipping instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand job jackets to ensure required production steps are completed and product matches requirements.
• Check packing instructions and quantities to ensure orders ship per customer specifications and correct shipping carrier.
• Enter shipment information into the shipping system to produce packing slips and customer labels.
• Affix packing slips and all required labels; obtain supervisor sign-off when needed.
• Update shipping information on the job jacket.
• Process shipments through the automated shipping system to ensure correct carrier selection and shipping charges.
• Clean work area and equipment at the end of the shift; report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain daily and timely attendance.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 45 lbs unassisted (occasionally more).
• Able to stand for the majority of the shift (2-hour increments).
• Short-distance walking required, including moving rolls to the shipping table.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp, and reach frequently.
• Able to differentiate between color variances.
• Ability to work well with others and perform under deadline constraints while meeting quality standards.
• Detail-oriented with excellent, quality-driven work habits.
• Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, and chemicals (safety regulations in place following OSHA guidelines).
• Required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility, including office and production areas.
• May be required to lift up to 20 pounds.
