Shipboard Network Engineer

Location: Miami, FL

About the role

Analyze shipboard network requirements and implement cost-effective solutions to support fleet operations. Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, and security systems to ensure reliable services for guests and crew. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime. Collaborate with shipboard teams and shoreside IT during newbuilds, dry docks, and daily operations. Develop and document network architecture standards, operational procedures, and project plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-class networking hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud services.
• Experience with shipboard or maritime network environments is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, and security protocols.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
