Shipboard Engineering Technician - Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot control systems with the use of system documentation and electrical schematics
• Provide test support for all variants of fielded systems at LBES
• Provide test support for all variants of fielded systems shipboard
• Accompany engineers or provide support at OEM/Test facilities with testing
• Provide shipboard software and hardware installation support of all variants of fielded systems at LBES and shipboard
• Document status updates on a regular basis
• Aid in test procedure edits and implementation
• Participate in special projects as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Associates degree and 3 years of relevant experience
• High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience as an electrical technician or field technician as it pertains to control systems in an industrial environment
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to achieve DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship
• Valid US passport
• Ability to travel 30-40% of the time (Typical locations ore Yokohska Japan, Rota Spain, Bahrain, or Pearl Harbor. Planned trips are 2-3 weeks in length, emergent trips do come up and are typically a bit shorter)
