Ship/Rec Clerk

About the role

Roberts Polypro is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to accurately process orders for shipment as well as receive materials against purchase orders. The position reports to the Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for shipment, accurately verify all incoming materials, utilize computer for tracking inventory and order processing.
• Maintain shipping and receiving logs and maintain files of shipping records.
• Prepare packing lists, bills of lading and other shipping documentation as necessary.
• Interact with Customer Service to prepare shipments daily.
• Assure compliance with workplace safety procedures.
• Limits access to loading docks by unauthorized individuals.
• Receive items by comparing packing lists, with item number on purchase order and the actual part.
• Compare specifications, drawings, and quantities. Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies.
• Tags parts as needed, move parts to proper location.
• Maintain all inventory records for machines, spare parts, plastic parts, and raw materials.
• Track and record all inventory movements in Syteline.
• Maintain clean work space in warehouse.
• Perform and/or manage inventory cycle counts daily, as well as full physical inventory counts when required for raw materials, plastic parts, and equipment parts.
• Assists in stockroom as needed.

Requirements

• High School/GED
• Detailed knowledge of warehouse procedures
• Administrative skills to include proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to partner with employees and vendors and maintain a positive attitude
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Experience with inventory control and job cost ERP systems, Syteline preferred
• Accuracy & attention to detail
