Shift Team Lead, Maintenance - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
- Assign and coordinate specific work assignments and activities by determining team members' skills, work force hours, recommend overtime, purchases materials, controls costs, and workflow to achieve production, maintenance, facilities, and quality objectives
- Exchanges timely information with maintenance staff on interdepartmental work force and equipment needs
- Evaluate, instruct, train, motivate, and assist team members to ensure safety, quality, production, maintenance, and facilities objectives are achieved
- Assist Maintenance Manager in the selection and interview process to fill worker positions
- Maintain professionalism by staying abreast of new developments through publications, vendors, and in-house management training
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experienced with 7+ years of mechanical experience in a GMP environment required (cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, food industry, or related consumer goods)
- Can work with no supervision and ensure high quality, craftsmanship work
- Experienced in lean manufacturing (preferred)
- Effective in managing time including work schedules, events, programs, and other activities
- Skilled in planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
- Inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
- Operate shop equipment including lathes, presses and bandsaws
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to production/manufacturing equipment
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairs to pneumatics, hydraulics, air handling systems and/or associated controls
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks
- Developing and practicing leadership and interpersonal skills
- Communicate in English, both verbally and in writing

Pay
The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, education, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, including a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
