Shift Supervisor for Senior Living - 2nd Shift

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic 2nd Shift Supervisor to join our team in West Bloomfield. As a supervisor, you will train and mentor caregivers while also providing direct care to residents. This position helps cultivate essential life skills such as patience, teaching, empathy, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise resident aides and train new staff
• Ensure duties are performed correctly by all staff
• Assist with resident care needs, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and incontinence care
• Assist with meal preparation
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment, including light housekeeping
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Assess for changes in resident condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Follow all emergency procedures
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience supervising and training caregiving staff
• Caring and compassion for the elderly
• Ability to arrive on time for each shift
