About the role
Northeast Security is seeking a Shift Operations Manager for one of our premiere accounts in the Boston, MA area. This role requires availability to be on call 24/7. The work schedule may include evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays as determined and scheduled annually.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management
- Directly lead, manage, and evaluate a team of non-exempt Shift Managers.
- Provide high-level guidance to Shift Managers as they support functional teams.
- Ensure Shift Managers effectively coach on-site supervisors and operators.
- Establish performance standards and operational benchmarks for the Shift Manager program.
- Program Accountability & Standards
- Ensure the Shift Manager program serves as a reliable extension of regional management.
- Hold Shift Managers accountable for maintaining client expectations for the Portfolio.
- Audit the Shift Manager team’s execution of regional monitoring, especially outside of normal business hours.
- Review the effectiveness of Shift Managers as intermediaries between on-site supervisors and client representatives.
- Operations & Resource Escalation
- Oversee the macro-level staffing strategy managed daily by the Shift Managers.
- Act as the escalation point when Shift Managers need to interface regarding high-level resource adjustments.
- Ensure Shift Managers make correct, real-time decisions on staff deployment and gap coverage.
- Information & Protocol Quality Control
- Audit the emergency communication and BXPOC guidance provided by the Shift Managers.
- Ensure Shift Managers maintain accuracy and promptness in all client-facing notifications.
- Provide final oversight of the Level 2 and Level 3 incident reports reviewed by the Shift Managers.
- Verify that the Shift Manager team correctly coordinates evidence retention and supplemental risk reports.
- Technical & Programmatic Oversight
- Oversee tech failure responses, security vulnerability mitigations, and escalation paths managed by shift teams.
- Partner with regional project managers and security management to support long-term security program needs.
- Ensure alarm abatement, equipment inspections, and statistical compiling assigned to Shift Managers are executed completely.
Requirements
- Three years of Security Manager experience.
- Valid Driver’s License for 3 years or more with a clean driving record.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Previous security supervisor experience or related field/education.
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Dependable means of transportation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English (both written and verbal).
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
- Must successfully pass all pre-employment background and drug screenings.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be available to cover various posts during the assigned shift.

Pay
Salary range is $75K - $80K, based on experience.
