About the role
Location: Cleveland, OH. Cleveland-Cliffs Steel LLC has immediate openings for Shift Manager Operations positions at our Cleveland, OH plant. This front-line leadership role is responsible for coordinating safety and quality activities, leading hourly employees, and overseeing production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance. The Shift Manager serves as a key link between hourly personnel, maintenance, and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America. The Company is vertically integrated from mined raw materials, direct reduced iron, and ferrous scrap to primary steelmaking and downstream finishing, stamping, tooling, and tubing. Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards; conduct safety, quality, and environmental audits in a timely manner.
- Provide clear direction to employees and maintain accountability for adherence to safety rules, environmental requirements, and job procedures.
- Monitor operating conditions and work with production and maintenance teams to address operational issues and drive safe, efficient performance.
- Schedule, supervise, and lead hourly operating and maintenance personnel, working directly with employees on the shop floor and from the Shift Manager's office.
