Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They oversee the team and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards in terms of quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Oversee food safety and production.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
- Help departments meet their goals and targets.
- Handle scheduling and staff management.
- Train new employees and enhance existing skills.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a team and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Flexibility with a schedule to accommodate shifts.
- Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager.
Qualifications
While not specified, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
Skills
