Shift Manager

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with McDonald’s standards.
• Ensure the team meets McDonald’s quality, service, and cleanliness expectations.
• Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
• Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
• Support assigned departments in achieving their goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Oversee food production and customer service.
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
• Handle internal communications and scheduling.
• Train new employees and enhance existing skills.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply for management positions.

Qualifications

While not specified, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Relevant certifications or experience in food service management may be beneficial.

Skills
