Shift Manager

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to the crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure efficient operations
• Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
• Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies
• Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift
• Meet and exceed targets set for the shift
• Support Department goals by assisting in meeting targets
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed
• Train new employees and enhance existing skills
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
• Ensure safety and security measures are in place
• Schedule staff based on operational needs

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility with a willingness to adapt to a dynamic workplace
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Age 18 or older
