Shift Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters, including hiring, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to the team and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service and Cleanliness to customers.
• Perform a variety of tasks, including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, taking action to ensure standards are met, monitoring safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
• Meet targets during shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, crew quality, food production, exceptional customer service, safety, and security.
• Train the team to ensure the environment is clean.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment is preferred, but not required.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
