Shift Manager

About the role

You’ll spend 98% of your time serving, coaching, correcting, training, retraining, inspiring, and developing team members and delivering an outstanding customer experience. A “Beat Yesterday” attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during shifts to maintain McDonald’s brand standards and company policies.
• Monitor performance, take corrective action, and communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Plan shifts, monitor safety, security, and profitability, and help assigned departments meet their goals.
• Oversee tasks including:
  • Food safety
  • Internal communication
  • Inventory management
  • Daily maintenance and cleanliness
  • Managing crew
  • Quality food production
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Safety and security
  • Scheduling and training

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous leadership experience, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong people skills and a commitment to high standards.
