Shift Manager
About the role
Shift Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience at every visit. They provide leadership to the crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high levels of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Plan for each shift, monitoring performance throughout the shift.
Ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
Monitor safety, security, and profitability during the shift.
Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
Meet targets set for the shift and assist in meeting departmental goals.
Manage inventory, food safety, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
Train new employees and manage the crew.
Handle exceptional customer service situations.
Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
Schedule shifts and manage the team effectively.
Requirements
Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with team members and customers.
Flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the job.
Must be 18 years or older.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
