Shift Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
• Maintain safety, security, and profitability during the shift.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them for their shift.
• Meet targets during your shift and assist in meeting Department goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure exceptional customer service.
• Manage crew effectively.
• Manage food safety.
• Manage quality food production.
• Manage scheduling.
• Train new employees.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• A flexible schedule.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a strong work ethic and be able to handle the demands of a fast-paced work environment. No specific educational qualifications are required, but previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Skills

Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with restaurant management systems is beneficial.
