Shift Manager

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication with the next Shift Manager.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with the team to guide and support them in achieving their goals.
• Take corrective actions to address any issues that arise during the shift.
• Manage crew members, including assigning tasks and providing feedback.
• Meet and exceed performance targets set for the shift.
• Support the next Shift Manager in preparing for their shift.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• At least 18 years old to qualify as a manager.

Qualifications

While previous leadership experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to excellence and a passion for serving others.

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of McDonald’s standards and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for managing schedules and tracking performance.
