About the role
Domino's Pizza is hiring Shift Managers to open or close stores and ensure we operate at our highest level every day. This is the first step in our Management Program, offering a path to leadership within the company. We're looking for individuals with strong judgment, math skills, and the ability to multitask. Responsibilities
- Oversee everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash control, and customer relations.
- Set the example by following ALL policies and procedures 100% of the time and ensuring your crew does the same.
- Complete paperwork, manage food, adhere to schedules, maintain a perfect store image, and provide great customer service.
- Receive and process telephone orders while handling sensitive customer information responsibly.
- Execute credit transactions and provide quality customer service through positive interactions in person or by phone.
- Work as part of a team: support other workstations, arrive on time, and complete closing duties, including cleaning.
- Operate all equipment, clean the facility daily, and perform assigned workstation duties (e.g., making quality products, preparing ingredients, taking orders).
- Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Contribute to a team atmosphere of energy and fun.
- Deliver pizzas within a designated area, including driving and door-to-door delivery of product and promotional materials.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make rapid, precise movements (e.g., entering orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen).
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to memorize recipes, portion amounts, and/or follow detailed job aids.
Work Conditions
Exposure to:
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., when removing trash or delivering orders).
- In-store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk-in coolers.
- Hot surfaces/tools (e.g., oven temperatures up to 500°F or higher).
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensory Requirements:
- Talking and hearing on the telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, including depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Far vision and night vision for driving.
Temperaments:
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, and work under stress.
- Ability to meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces. Work surfaces range from 36" to 48" in height.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations, including between the store and delivery vehicle or customer locations.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (e.g., cases of ingredients/supplies up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck. Stack items onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying: Large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray), and pizzas/beverages during deliveries.
- Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
- Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or maintenance. Deliveries may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly station, front counter, stocking ingredients).
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (e.g., turning oven controls, lifting/lowering objects, scooping ingredients, cleaning surfaces, answering phones).
- Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination for tasks like shaping pizza dough, using a pizza peel, cutting pizza, assembling boxes, and grasping tools/equipment.

Many team members start as delivery drivers and advance to roles like franchise owners. Career paths include:
