About the Role
A Shift Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest room, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of the house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. A Shift Engineer will also perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems, using a Windows-based computer system. Ability to read blueprints and schematics is preferred, along with basic troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front/back of the house areas
- Maintain and repair kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems
- Use a Windows-based computer system for maintenance tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics (preferred)
Requirements
- Minimum of three years building maintenance experience (hotel experience preferred)
- Good communication and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hotels
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others
Schedule
3:00pm to 11:30pm | 5 days per week
