Shift Engineer

About the Role

A Shift Engineer at Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort, Spa and Casino is responsible for general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, meeting spaces, front-of-house areas, and back-of-house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

This role also involves performing preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems using a Windows-based computer system. The ability to read blueprints and schematics, along with basic troubleshooting skills, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas.
• Perform maintenance and repairs in back-of-house areas, including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems.
• Use a Windows-based computer system for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics (preferred).
• Apply basic troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of building maintenance experience.
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
