About the role

The Shelter Worker - Standby is responsible for providing support to the shelter staff during emergencies and ensuring the safety and comfort of the residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing emergency situations within the shelter.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to shelter residents.
• Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the shelter premises.
• Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
