Sheet Metal Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Direct others on work activities and organize scheduling of resources.
• Read complex blueprints and equipment packaging lists for assembly.
• Solve complex job-related problems or bring solutions to the project manager and/or director of operations.
• Serve as a liaison with client representatives.
• Attend all project meetings.
• Perform safety talks and maintain check-in sheets.
• Maintain tool inspection reports.
• Submit employees’ (permanent and temporary) time to the office.
• Perform performance reviews for employees on the project.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with sheet metal lay-out and installation.
• 1-5 years of experience managing projects and personnel.
• Must be able to work with a variety of tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Physical Demands

• Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing.
• Constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping.
• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to talk and hear.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Material handling: lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

• Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, and atmospheric conditions.
• Exposure to electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid conditions, and vibration.
• Proximity to moving mechanical parts and working in high-exposure places.
