About the role

J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Commercial Sheet Metal Superintendent to manage and schedule tradesmen on various projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of commercial Sheet Metal installation experience, including managing tradesmen and subcontractors. They should be able to pass a background check and drug screen, have a valid driver’s license, and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Evaluate the quality of tradesman work at each phase of construction and ensure proper procedures are followed.
Communicate project status to the project manager and general contractor.
Manage and schedule tradesmen on various projects.
Ensure field teams are scheduled and have the proper materials needed to perform their daily tasks.
Communicate effectively with subcontractors and other stakeholders.
Provide guidance and mentorship to tradesmen.
Prioritize multiple tasks effectively to meet quality and timing goals.

Requirements

At least 8 years of commercial Sheet Metal installation experience in new construction applications.
Experience managing tradesmen and subcontractors.
Pass a background check and drug screen.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Diplomatic approach to problem-solving.
Strong problem-solving skills.
A passion for quality.
Ability to mentor others.
Effective prioritization of multiple tasks.

Schedule
