About the role

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is an industry leader in HVAC and plumbing construction. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead HVAC ductwork installations throughout the DMV area.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of commercial HVAC ductwork installations from daily planning through completion.
• Assign work, set expectations, and keep the crew productive and focused.
• Plan labor, materials, equipment, and tools for upcoming work.
• Monitor workmanship, safety, schedules, and project requirements.
• Read plans, identify field challenges, and make sound on-site decisions.
• Communicate clearly with crew members, clients, and project leadership.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and VMG safety policies.
• Travel to project sites throughout the DMV area.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of sheet metal or ductwork installation experience.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and leading field crews.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and ductwork installation.
• The ability to plan work, solve problems, and make critical field decisions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Closed attention to quality, safety, and project details.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• A valid driver's license.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school training or a completed apprenticeship is preferred.
