Job Details
- Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated or installed.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
- Interpret specifications, blue prints and work orders as needed for an area of supervision.
- Install and direct installation of assemblies in buildings or work-sites.
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules using knowledge of equipment, materials, and the capabilities of assigned personnel.
- Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
- Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Maintain time records and coordinates schedules.
- Provide input for project estimates and schedules.
- Cookordination project activities with other trades.
- Supervise and coordinate sub contractor activities.
- Works in conjunction with the assigned project manager to coordinate project schedules, deliveries, and activities.
Qualifications
- Must have experience working on construction sites and have followed construction safety guidelines.
- Experience with planning, layout, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal parts, equipment and products, utilizing a knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques.
- Ability to interpret specifications, blue prints and work orders.
- Ability to analyze and solve work problems.
- Ability to study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion.
- Experience leading craft workers and coordinating activities.
