SHEAR OPERATOR
About The Role
The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for assembling, fitting, and welding metal components into finished products and subassemblies according to blueprints and engineering specifications. This role involves operating fabrication equipment, using hand and power tools, and ensuring all work meets quality, dimensional, and safety standards. The position also includes material handling, layout work, and finishing tasks to support efficient production operations in a manufacturing environment.

Who We're Looking For
- The ideal candidate is a skilled welder/fabricator with strong blueprint reading ability, solid measuring skills, and hands-on experience producing accurate, high-quality welds and assemblies. They are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use.
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location).
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
Qualifications
- Three (3) years welding/fabrication experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to use measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, depth gauges, and fixed gauges.
Skills
- Strong blueprint reading ability.
- Solid measuring skills.
- Hands-on experience producing accurate, high-quality welds and assemblies.
