Job Summary
Join our dynamic IT team as a SharePoint Systems Administrator where you'll play a critical role in managing and optimizing our enterprise SharePoint infrastructure. This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge collaboration technologies while supporting mission-critical operations in Portsmouth.
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and maintain SharePoint Server (2016/2019) farm environments ensuring optimal performance and availability
- Administer web applications, site collections, content databases, and service applications across multiple SharePoint environments
- Manage user permissions, Active Directory group integration, and implement comprehensive SharePoint security policies
- Design and maintain governance policies, backup and recovery plans, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
- Optimize Central Administration settings and manage Search Service Applications for enhanced user experience
- Maintain system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive maintenance procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SharePoint-based business solutions and workflows
- Document system configurations, procedures, and maintain technical documentation for compliance requirements
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience administering SharePoint Server environments (2016/2019)
- Strong expertise in SharePoint farm architecture, web applications, and service applications
- Proficient in Active Directory integration and Windows Server administration
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint automation and management
- Knowledge of SQL Server database administration and backup/recovery procedures
- Understanding of SharePoint security models, permissions, and governance frameworks
- Microsoft SharePoint certification (MCSE or equivalent)
- Experience with SharePoint Online and hybrid environments
- Knowledge of InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, and workflow development
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Experience in government or defense contracting environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Benefits
This SharePoint Systems Administrator position offers competitive compensation ranging from $101,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is based in Portsmouth and requires an active Top-Secret clearance.
