Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior SharePoint Administrator to design, build, and operationalize enterprise collaboration platforms. This role blends hands-on platform architecture with people leadership, directing less experienced developers and ensuring all solutions align with CJIS, COV, and FBI security policies, as well as the client's strategic plans.
Responsibilities
- Architect modern intranet portals, document management repositories, and automated business processes utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Act as the technical liaison across PMO, Architecture, and business stakeholders to drive agency-wide collaboration adoption.
- Ensure all custom solutions and third-party integrations adhere to state government IT policies and modernization strategies.
- Administer and govern SharePoint environments, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and secure architecture.
- Implement and enforce access governance and automated compliance scanning for sensitive agency data.
- Ensure platform components meet CJIS and COV requirements for authentication, authorization, logging, and auditability.
- Maintain cloud governance artifacts, operational standards, runbooks, and architecture decision records for the SharePoint ecosystem.
- Ensure consistent setup and usage across all divisions, providing unification of experience and common look and feel.
- Supervise and mentor junior SharePoint administrators, developers, and support staff.
- Prioritize tasks for the SharePoint team based on agency needs.
- Establish and enforce secure development standards, deployment practices, and automated testing for SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions.
- Ensure all delivered solutions and platform configurations are well documented and highly maintainable for long-term operational success.
- Lead peer code reviews and architectural design sessions to elevate team capabilities and maintain code quality.
- Support agency-wide cloud adoption initiatives by establishing best practices for SaaS/PaaS collaboration tools.

- Team members receive ongoing support and mentorship, with measurable growth in technical proficiency (tracked via certifications or skill assessments).
- Feedback loops from users and stakeholders drive iterative enhancements to SharePoint functionality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of IT infrastructure and platform engineering experience, with a dedicated focus on enterprise SharePoint Administration (Online and Server 2016/2019).
- Proven track record of interfacing with business stakeholders to design and implement complex SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Experience supervising and leading technical teams and mentoring junior developers.
- Strong understanding of identity integration and compliance-driven governance, alongside data loss prevention (DLP).
Preferred Qualifications
- State or local government IT experience, specifically involving VITA compliance, procurement regulations, and cloud migration strategies.
- Advanced proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Graph API integrations.
- Experience integrating identity and access controls (Okta, CyberArk, Microsoft/Azure AD) into provisioning workflows.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Power Platform Developer, or similar).
- Familiarity with CJIS, COV, or similar security frameworks.
Skills
- Microsoft 365 administrator and Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate Certificates required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
