Shared Living Caregiver (Plymouth, MA)

About the role

The Nonotuck Resources Associates is seeking individuals, couples, and families who are interested in living with and sharing their life with an intellectually or physically disabled person. Currently, we are looking for shared living caregivers in the Plymouth area.

Responsibilities

• Develop a meaningful relationship with the person they are sharing their home with.
• Build on and maintain independence by assisting in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide companionship and go out on community activities/outings.
• Help with grocery shopping, cooking, housekeeping, laundry, routine budget management, medication management, and medical appointments.

Requirements

• Livable space with an extra bedroom (single family homes or apartments).
• Ability to provide reliable transportation.
• CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and Fingerprinting check.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Pay

The range of the stipend is $27,618 to $96,677 annually, contingent upon assessed needs of the person and subject to state approval. Stipend levels 18 through 21 are available only by special application to the purchasing governmental unit.

The schedule is flexible and tailored to the needs of both the caregiver and the person they are sharing their home with.
