About the role
The Shake & Shingle Inspector is responsible for visiting mills and conducting quality assurance inspections and grading various shake & shingle products. This position involves traveling at least 75% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Perform grading inspection of cedar shakes and shingles in the mill
- Complete inspection reports and follow up on corrective actions
- Cookordinate inspection activities with clients
- Become knowledgeable of all shake and shingle grading rules and the relevant standards
- Comply with internal quality and HR policies
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright or in a similar industrial role
- Technical diploma or combination of education and experience
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office software and have good written and oral communication skills
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record is required
- Able to travel 75% of the time

Pay
The base wage or salary range for this position is $28 - $31 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
Schedule
This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
