Inspector

Essential Functions

• Aiding the Project Administrator or Senior Inspector in daily roadway inspection
• Maintaining contractor compliance alongside quality control
• Performing verification inspections and testing as required, including earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge and miscellaneous structures, toll facilities, lighting, signalization, environmental compliance, maintenance of traffic, etc.

Required Skills And Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in roadway construction inspection, including 1 year in roadway construction inspection
• Must hold CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I, and CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I certifications as required by the scope of work for the project
• Previous roadway inspection experience preferred

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

Physical Demands

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Navigate uneven terrain
• Climb ladders or stairs
• Able to lift and carry inspection equipment and materials weighing up to 20-30 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and may include exposure to construction-related hazards
