About the Role

Laland Baptiste, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support concrete, structural steel façade, and masonry work on a large-scale public construction project in the Bronx.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of concrete, structural steel façade, and masonry construction activities
• Inspect formwork, reinforcing steel/rebar, embeds, concrete placement, curing, and related structural work
• Monitor masonry installation, including CMU, brick, mortar, reinforcing, flashing, and related façade components
• Inspect exterior envelope/façade work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Verify materials and workmanship meet contract documents and applicable codes
• Coordinate required concrete testing and review field testing activities
• Identify deficiencies and document non-conforming work
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, photographs, and field documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, construction management staff, testing agencies, and other inspectors
• Assist with punch-list inspections and corrective work

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of construction inspection experience involving concrete, masonry, structural, or façade work preferred
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, reinforcing steel, masonry construction, and building-envelope systems
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications
• Experience on large commercial, institutional, government, or public-sector projects preferred
• NYC public-agency construction experience is a plus
• Relevant concrete, masonry, welding, façade, or special inspection certifications are highly desirable
• Strong field documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in the Bronx

Pay

$65-72/hr pending experience
