SH&E Manager
About the role
Ensure site compliance with Linde Loss Prevention System, OSHA Process Safety Management, and EPA Risk Management Program.
Back up Site Security Officer role to Plant Manager and participate in annual DHS Security Inspection, maintaining Site Security plan and related reports.
Coordinate and lead plant Safety Meetings by defining topics, preparing and delivering presentations, and ensuring adherence to internal safety programs.
Serve as primary contact for OSHA VPP Star program, attending regular OSHA meetings and updates.
Maintain all safety meeting minutes, attendance, and training records in accordance with requirements.
Identify, schedule, complete, and document all employee training needs, tracking progress through training needs assessments for each job classification.
Oversee plant-wide Contractor Safety Program, including conducting routine Contractor Safety Information classes.
Ensure compliance with Hazardous Waste Program and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, managing proper hazardous waste collection, storage, and disposal per regulations.
Manage plant formalized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program, ensuring control, maintenance, and compliance.
Maintain compliance with environmental permits and reporting obligations, including sewer and air discharge permits, OSHA 300 logs, TRI reports, Tier II reporting, and other federal, state, and local requirements.
Maintain current site Emergency Plan, conduct emergency drills at least twice yearly, and support drill activities as needed.
Maintain plant Safety Data Sheet (SDS) files and complete required Industrial Hygiene Sampling for employees and work areas.
Investigate root causes of incidents, develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with Managers to ensure all employees remain current on training and compliance requirements.

Requirements
Hold Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or applicable experience.
Minimum five (5) years industry experience.
Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management is required in this role.
Past participation with industrial safety organizations such as ASSP is preferred.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
Experience with Hazardous Waste Program and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ability to maintain and update safety records and documentation.
