SFDK Tricks N Treats Attendant $16.90/HR

Discovery Kingdom is hiring attendants for its annual Oktoberfest and Tricks N Treats events. Attendants will support talent, manage crowds, and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Entertain park guests in a professional manner and ensure a positive experience for every guest.
• Control crowds and interact with guests in a supportive and understanding role.
• Maintain and clean stadiums, show venues, and backstage areas.
• Work private events or shows as assigned.
• Ensure the safety of guests, animals, and performers.
• Maintain the “show illusion” and character belief for guests at all times.
• Perform and speak confidently in front of large crowds.
• Improvise interactions with guests and licensed characters.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to confidently perform and speak in front of large crowds.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly standing, talking, climbing, walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near and far, stooping, bending, kneeling.
• Work in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity, and temperature changes.
• Carry 5 to 10 lb; lifts over 51 lb require assistance or a mechanical device.
• Overtime may be required to accommodate business needs.
• Perform crowd control, cleaning, and maintenance of show venues and stadiums.
• Greet, direct, and interact with guests through games and crowd work.
• Provide expert park knowledge to assist guests.
