Sexy Roman, situated in the W Hotel, is a provocative modern Italian restaurant offering a playful balance of artisanal, hand-crafted Italian cuisine within an electrifying atmosphere. We provide alluring cocktails with a table-side martini cart, thoughtfully curated worldly wines, and a vibrant bar. This concept is brought to you by Alliance Hospitality Group, the masterminds behind FLINT By Baltaire in Phoenix, Baltaire Steakhouse in Los Angeles, and other notable restaurant concepts.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high-volume atmosphere while maintaining the highest level of service.
• Work with spreadsheets to manage lost items, lost credit cards, messages for managers, complaints, and large party requests.
• Make calls for the following day’s reservations, noting any requests and confirming what we can offer guests.
• Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures relevant to guests; if no answer is available, take down guest information to call them back.
• Field event and regular voemails and complete event inquiries with guests over the phone.
• Be astutely aware of all aspects of OpenTable: how to make reservations, reservation waitlists, etc.
• Answer department telephone using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
• Support the service team to ensure guest needs/requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional appearance and behavior at all times.
• Walk with graceful efficiency through the bar & dining room to assist with service demands.
• Develop food & beverage knowledge.
• Carry 3 hot plates comfortably and with grace.
• Remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a service-oriented or administrative position within a customer-facing environment.
• High-volume, fine-dining host experience is ideal.
• Must have OpenTable experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate; college degree preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Punctual, regular, and reliable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Must be available to work irregular hours, shifts, weekends, special events, and holidays.
• Flexible work schedule including overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Exert 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to be on your feet for an entire shift.
• Combination of sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
