About the role
The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to a superior customer service experience. This role involves managing customer flow, addressing concerns, promoting services, and maintaining a clean, organized space.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and service customers over the phone, virtual chats, and in person, using clear communication and problem-solving skills.
- Manage customer flow through all systems to ensure a five-star customer experience.
- Meet all service vows, including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for customers, adhering to operational checklists.
- Proactively address customer concerns with confidence, escalating issues as necessary.
- Promote alterations services and personalization options, building long-term relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards.
- Perform cash wrap behaviors accurately to ensure every customer feels celebrated.
- Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized alterations room.
- Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent degree.
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system.
Qualifications
- Excellent phone skills and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for sewing and fitting garments.
- Good visual acuity for reading, using computers, and handling electronic devices.
