Sewer Lining Technician

About the role

This position is within S&J Plumbing's expanding sewer lining division, offering opportunities for growth and specialization in trenchless technology.

Responsibilities

• Install CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) liners in residential sewer systems
• Operate trenchless equipment such as inversion drums, cutters, and curing systems
• Perform drain cleaning and pipe prep before lining installs
• Diagnose sewer conditions and ensure proper install execution
• Work closely with your crew to complete jobs efficiently and correctly
• Follow all safety protocols, including confined space procedures
• Maintain and clean equipment and trucks
• Provide a five-star customer experience on every job
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

Requirements

• Experience in plumbing, sewer, drain cleaning, or underground work, REQUIRED
• Experience with sewer cameras, jetting, or trenchless work, PREFERRED
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in the field
• Strong work ethic and professionalism
• Comfortable with physical work and outdoor conditions
• Team player with leadership potential
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a PLUS)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a PLUS)

• Proficiency with trenchless equipment and techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
